HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Hattiesburg voters are out at the polls Tuesday afternoon to participate in a special election.
Four candidates are vying for the house district seat 102, which encompasses much of the Hattiesburg city limits.
Cory Ferraez, Missy McGee, Casey Mericer and Kathryn Rehner are the four candidates, running as independent, campaigning for the position.
Secretary of State, Delbert Hosemann says most special elections historically lends itself to a low voter turnout. If no one gets a majority vote, another run off will be held October 3.
