Donors Participate In Blood Drive At JCJC

HATTIESBURG, MISS - United Blood Services paid Jones County Junior College a visit Wednesday to ask for blood donations. United Blood Services mentioned that the number of donations are currently below the organization's average amount of donations received. However, they are hopeful that this blood drive can bring their numbers back up.

"We can do without a lot of things but blood is something we can not do without, and blood has to be readily available when the patient needs it," United Blood Services, Sr. Donor Recruitment Representative, Beverly Clark said. "So we are hoping to collect 125 units of blood because on an average just in this area, it takes about 125 units of blood everyday just to meet our needs. Blood is life and it is meant to be shared, and that's just what these wonderful students, faculty, and staff members are doing here at JCJC today."

Anyone who is interested in donating, please visit bloodhero.com.
