HATTIESBURG, Miss. – State Senator Roger Wicker said he is not ready considering retirement and has made plans to run for re-election in 2018.
Wicker holds one of eight Republican seats that are up for re-election next year. He state that he is thankful for President Trump’s support in regard to his senate position.
“The President really wants to make the point, that we’ve passed 70 bills and got them on the President’s desk in nine months. He said we haven’t really had that since the Truman administration. One of the things we are proudest about are what we are doing to the federal courts. [We are] putting good solid constitutional conservatives on the federal appeal courts and also the trial courts. And then Justice Neil Gorsuch as our new supreme court member,” said Senator Wicker.
He shared that he is ready to see through and follow up with the continuing achievements as Mississippi’s representative in 2018.
