Chili Cook-Off Brings the Heat to the 'Pete'

HATTIESBURG, MISS - Get your spoons ready because USM is having its 12th annual "chili cook-off" at Pete Taylor Park. "Tomorrow, it's our 12th annual chili cook-off over at the Pete Taylor Park, which is the baseball field," USM Assistant professor, Tamara Hurst said. "It's from twelve-thirty to four-thirty. Five dollars will get you in, get you all the chili you want to eat and some hot dogs...and it's going to be a great time. It raises funds for 'Extra Table' who provides food for all the food pantries around the Hattiesburg area, but this event specifically helps out the Eagle's Nest food pantry on the USM campus."
