Pay it Forward this Holiday Season by Donating Blood for a $500 Amazon Gift Card

HATTIESBURG, MISS. - United Blood Services is giving away a 500 dollar Amazon.com gift card each day from Dec 17 - 31. United Blood Services is doing this as a part of their "Pay It Forward" program. Wednesday, the United Blood Services visited the city of Ellisville at the KD Public Relations office to find more donors. “This is my fourth blood drive that I’ve done in the last three years, and I have seen great results and great success,” the CEO of KD Public Relations, Katherine Parker said. “I've heard a lot of testimonials about the blood drives we've hosted, and heard that people have had their lives changed just because of a pint of blood.” United Services highlighted the reason why it important for the community to give blood during the holiday season. “It's important for people to come out and donate blood during the holidays because we have about a twenty percent decline in blood donations around this time of year,” a United Blood Services employee, Coretta Fortenberry said.
