Become a First Blood Responder at United Blood Services

HATTIESBURG, MISS. - The United Blood Services wants residents to kick off the year giving blood through two of their program initiatives.
United Blood Services is asking for donors to pledge to be a First Blood Responder and donate three times in 2018, starting in January. They also would like for residents to participate in their Platelet Passport Program as well.
In 2017 we saw tremendous tragedies, nature disasters, and active shooter situations, and the blood that saves lives during those tragedies is the blood that’s on the shelves. So, that is why we need people pledging to be a First Blood Responder in 2018… make your commitment to give three times at a blood drive or our central location.” United Blood Services’ donor recruitment supervisor, Katie Martin said. “Also, we got our Platelet Passport Program. We are encouraging our platelet donors... to give twenty-three times in a year to help cancer patients.”
United Blood Services mention if a donor completes either one of these programs this year, they will give the donor a reward of 20,000 bonus points to use at their online rewards store.
