William Carey University Receives Seven Seals Award for support of Guard and Reserve

HATTIESBURG, MISS. - Friday morning, William Carey University gets recognition from service members as they receive the Seven Seals Award presented by the Mississippi Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (MSESGR). Service members nominate award recipients, and they've chosen William Carey University for the support they've given to military members. Ultimately, helping service members fulfill their commitment to the country, while continuing pursuing their degree. "The Seven Seal Award that was given to William Carey University is for the support they give and the leadership they take in helping guard reservists and their family members, on their educational track,” MSESGR Director Tim Lea said. “Many times these military families are affected by deployment, by interruptions due to their call to duty, and William Carey has generated the understanding and the support needed to help them continue on their educational goals without a major disruption to any event to what they do. So, this was our way as a group… to look at William Carey and say thank you very much for what you do." The MSESGR operates on a staff of 70 volunteers helping service members throughout the entire state.
