HATTIESBURG, MISS - A local Pine Belt resident, Mary Snowden is happy to move into her new home. Snowden took a look at her new home Friday, for the first time since it was demolished in the last year's EF-3 tornado, which struck Hattiesburg at the beginning of the year in January 2017.
“I'm glad that I got a safe place to live and… I’m happy about that,” Snowden said, “Because it is not easy to go through the holidays when you want to have your family around, but you don't have anywhere to do that… I didn't cry over the house, I just said Lord if you want me on that corner you will send the material because I can't.”
Thirteen months later, Snowden's prayers were answered. R3SM will have another home dedication on Sunday.
