African American Military History Museum Invites a Special Guest


HATTIESBURG, MISS. – Thursday night, the African American Military History Museum held a special program inviting Colonel (ret) Krewasky Salter, (Guest) Curator of Double Victory: The African American Military Experience and Military Subject Matter Expert at the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) to speak with members of the Pine Belt about his experience in the military. “Well I’m here today at the African American Military History Museum in Hattiesburg to talk about the experience of African Americans in the military, and being fortunate enough right now to be the curator at the National Museum of African American history and Culture, where I curate the military history gallery. It’s great to have been invited out here to this museum which specifically focuses on the African American military history experience and after having gone through the galleries earlier, I can tell you it is a great experience and a great museum. I hope everyone comes out and visits it,” Salter said.
