Special Election: Columbia 3% Sales Tax

A super majority of voters in Columbia approves the city's plans to increase the sales tax for hotels and restaurants by three percent. Needing approval of a majority of 60% plus one vote, the tax increase will go into effect on July 1 -- and expire in 2023.
