Barry becomes Category 1 hurricane

Barry is now a Category 1 hurricane as the storm moves onto the Louisiana coast.

Location as of Saturday at 10 a.m.: 29.6N 92.0W; about 40 miles south of Lafayette, Louisiana.

Saturday's forecast for our area still calls for torrential rain and thunderstorms with a possible tornado.
