MSDH: Eight patients die of COVID-19 complications

The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 259 new cases of COVID-19 in the state and eight new deaths. Cases among long-term care facility residents have increased by 45, the MSDH said. The health department added 382 patients in the state are hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19.

The total of Mississippi's cases since March 11 now stands at 5153, with 201 deaths.
