JCJC and United Blood Services will have its next Campus Blood Drive Monday - Wednesday, March 23-25 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily in the P.E. Building.

To ensure those who make appointments are kept on schedule, there will be two walk in areas, one for walk ins and one for those who’ve already made appointments.

To make the blood drive visit go as quickly as possible, a questionnaire can be completed online before coming to the P.E. Building; however, the questionnaire must be completed only on the day the blood will be drawn. The questionnaire can be found by visiting the UBS home page and clicking Begin Health History, which can be found in the lower left hand of the home page.

It’s important to note that the name that is used on the questionnaire must match the name on the ID that will be presented at the blood drive. If the names do not match, registration will have to be started over.

Beverly Clark, UBS senior donor representative, said that the goal of this blood drive is 105 units each day. The theme for this drive, which will be on the t-shirt which each donor will receive, is Pump Up the Blood Supply. Clark explained that the blood supply has been depleted due to the winter storms that took place in North Mississippi in late February. Because of the area weather, all blood drives were cancelled from Meridian to Tennessee, so the JCJC blood drive is needed to help replenish the state.
