The 5th Annual Habitat Restaurant Tour is set to kick off April 6th!

Hattiesburg, MS - The 5th Annual Habitat Restaurant Tour is set to kick off April 6th. Each day during the tour, a different restaurant is featured as the "restaurant of the day". This restaurant will donate a percentage of their sales during the day to Hattiesburg Habitat. Last year, over $7,500 was raised for affordable housing in Hattiesburg. This year let’ raise even more!
The money raised from this tour will be used to serve more families with affordable housing solutions in the Hattiesburg Area. So far, Hattiesburg Habitat has helped 64 families build and buy their first homes. Habitat builds and repairs homes in partnership with low-income families. After construction is completed, the families purchase the home with a 20 year, 0 interest mortgage or finance the cost of repairs using a 0 interest loan with flexible terms. These payments help serve more families! In addition to 64 homeowners, Habitat served an additional three families by assisting them with critical home repairs this year. That is 67 families that now have simple, decent housing because of the kindness of the community we serve. There are an additional 4 partner families waiting to be served by Habitat- monies raised from the tour will be used to help serve these families.
Participation couldn’t be easier. Simply dine at the “restaurant of the day” and a percentage of sales will be donated to Habitat! This is a wonderful opportunity to visit different Pine Belt restaurants as well as give local foodies the chance to support Habitat with their fork!
