JCJC sophomores earn Gold Key Awards

Ellisville, MS – Twelve Jones County Junior College sophomores are eligible to receive the Academic Gold Key honor because of their 4.0 GPA prior to final exams. Six other graduating students were awarded Leadership, Athletic and Merit Gold Key Awards during graduation practice.

The Merit Gold Key recipients are Jacob Ivy of Taylorsville and Brooke Miley of Sumrall. Leadership Gold Key recipients are Jonathan Nelson of Petal and Lindsay Miller of Ellisville. Baseball player, Chris Morgan of Madison and softball player and NJCAA Player of the Year, Tori Dew of Stonewall were selected for the Athletic Gold Key Award. These students were voted on by the sophomore class for this special recognition.

The twelve JCJC students expected to receive the Academic Gold Key honor include: Brandon Atwood of Seminary; Trent Black of Ellisville; Lauren Halase of Jayess; Emily Hill of Columbia; Anna Houston of Laurel; Kensey Jordan of Buckatunna; Lauren Lott of Hattiesburg; Lauren Sanders of Morton; Jordan Simmons of Laurel; Chandler Hardin of Raleigh; Lakin Thornton of Raleigh and Breanna Williams of Laurel.

JCJC sophomore, Jacob Ivy of Taylorsville was voted by his peers to receive the Gold Key Merit honor.

JCJC sophomore of Sumrall, Brooke Miley was voted by her peers to receive the Gold Key Merit honor.

JCJC sophomore, Jonathan Nelson of Petal was voted by his peers to receive the Gold Key Leadership honor.

JCJC sophomore from Ellisville, Lindsay Miller was voted by her peers to receive the Gold Key Leadership honor.

JCJC sophomore from Madison, Chris Morgan was voted by his peers to receive the Gold Key Athletic honor.

JCJC sophomore from Stonewall, Tori Dew was voted by her peers to receive the Gold Key Athletic award.
