MDOT to Begin Resurfacing Project in Perry County This Week

Perry County, MS — The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) is scheduled to begin a resurfacing project along Highway 15 in Richton beginning this week.

Work on the two mile project will begin at Redbay Avenue and continue to Mulberry Road. The $897,000 project was awarded to Dunn Roadbuilders LLC.

“Work will primarily take place at night due to the high volume of traffic along Highway 15 during daytime hours,” said Transportation Commissioner Tom King. “MDOT urges the public to be especially mindful of those working on this project at night.”

Work is scheduled for completion by November 2015.
