The LGBT Community Marches through Downtown Hattiesburg

Hattiesburg, MS – The LGBT community had their first gay pride march in downtown Hattiesburg. Prior to the march supporters and activists enjoyed the event at Town Square Park with guest speakers and live music.

There was about three hundred supporters walking three fourths of a mile in the downtown region celebrating and urging the community to acknowledge their sexual orientation.

Though there were religious protestors present, it was a peaceful and police supervised event.
