Pine Belt community meets potential employers

Hattiesburg, MS - The Pine Belt community had the chance to meet potential employers. About forty different employers were at the Governor's Job Fair today screening candidates for employment. Among the applicants were military members, recent graduates, laid off workers, and those seeking to improve their career.

The Director of the Governor's Job Fair says, "You know we can try and send our resume and applications online to the internet abyss, but when you are able to actually speak to someone face to face it really helps you go a lot futher to sell yourself."

The Mississippi Department of Employment Security promotes job fairs as a gateway for employers and employees to meet each other's needs.
