Rails to Trails Path

Hattiesburg, MS - The work on a new walking and biking path between downtown Hattiesburg and the University of Southern Mississippi will begin soon.

Engineer Lamar Rutland told city council that he'll meet with a contractor this week. Crews will begin working on the trail in the next few weeks.

The trail is expected to run about 43 miles.
