City council votes to extend alcohol hours

HATTIESBURG, Miss - The Hattiesburg City Council voted to extend alcohol services on Sundays.

Alcohol was previously served at 12 P.M. and the Council voted 4-0 to start serving at 11 A.M. The original request was 10 A.M. but City Council President Kim Bradley believed 10 A.M. was too early to serve alcoholic beverages.

The request now has to get approval from the Office of Alcoholic Beverage Control before the time change can be made official for Hattiesburg restaurants.
