Old Hattiesburg high school plans for renovation
HATTIESBURG, Miss - A Madison developer has plans to restore and renovate the old Hattiesburg High School downtown.
Steve Nail of Intervest Corporation is currently working to convert the vacant high school to an age restricted, affordable apartments.
Nail says he plans on having 65 units that will offer an onsite manager. If all paperwork and credits are approved he plans on starting construction early 2017.
Nail says, "As these older structures come up we do a couple of good things and that's preserve what you have there at your city which I think is a tremendous asset."
This was not Nail's first conversion project as he also worked in Pascagoula turning another school into affordable housing.
