USM Trying to Provide Better Safety for Sport Spectators
Hattiesburg, Miss. - With the recent terrorist attacks in Paris, Southern Miss is planning to beef up its security for sporting events.
The University of Southern Miss's National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security and the International Criminal Police Organization have partnered together to ensure better safety for fans.
U.S. national sports leagues, venues, associations and organizations, and law enforcement agencies, including Department of Homeland Security and FBI attended a meeting earlier this month to help implement a way to improve the safety of sports spectators.
