An Assault Leads to the Death of an Infant

Laurel, Miss. - Police were called in this morning about a possible assault to a home in the 1800 block of Lee St.

Officers arrived and found a six-month old baby boy with injuries. Emserve and the Laurel Police rushed the infant to South Central Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

Rashad Crosby was arrested at the scene and taken to jail. Crosby is facing capital murder charges.

The investigation is ongoing and Crosby may be facing more charges.
