Pancake Day

Laurel, Miss. - The Laurel Kiwanis Club will hold its annual “Pancake Day” this Saturday.

The fundraiser will be held at the YWCO on Oak Street and also will be held on First Baptist Church on Sixth Avenue.

Kiwanis Club Vice President, Mit Cole said, “We start serving at 6 a.m. And we serve until two. It's an all you can eat pancake breakfast. We have pancakes, sausage, milk, coffee, soft drinks. We use this money basically to do all of our civic activities throughout the year. A couple things that we do is we give scholarships to high school seniors. We give flashcards to third graders in the Laurel and Jones County school districts. This past year, both school districts, every third grader got a multiplication package and a division package of flashcards."

Tickets are $5 in advance. You can buy them at Laurel’s First bank, Wells Pharmacy, and at Chick-Fil-A, where you get a card for a free chicken sandwich with your purchase.

Tickets are $6 at the door on Saturday.
