Future Asbury Hospice Care facility being built

HATTIESBURG, Miss - The Asbury Hospice House capital campaign received a $2,500 dollar donatation from Enterprise Holdings Foundation.

The funds will be used to support Forrest General Healthcare Foundation's commitment to a 5 million dollar community fundraising campaign to give families an opportunity to be part of an environment that offers special comfort in Southern Mississippi.

Martha Dearman, Executive Director of Forrest General Healthcare Foundations says, "They (Enterprise Holdings Foundation) designated their gift to that project that we are doing. They see the importance of hospice care at the end of the life and providing our patients and familiy members with dignity and respect and just allowing them to be comfortable for the last days."

"We are just so grateful for all of our generous donors who wanto help make Hattiesburg even better and to continue to provide the best healthcare in the community and we couldn't do it without the great donors we have in this town" Dearman says.

The Hospice House is still under construction and will open Fall 2016, it will include meditation rooms and serenity gardens.
