USM'S Proud to be a National String Project SIte

Hattiesburg, Miss. - The University of Southern Miss's School of Music is the official site of the National String Project Consortium.

USM’s associate director of orchestral activities, Michael A. Miles said, "This is the first time we've been accepted as a string project site. We wrote this grant four years ago. This makes it truly one of only a handful of communities in the entire country to provide quality affordable string education for students all the way from the age of three, all the way to our doctoral students who are in attendance at this university. So we're very proud that we can provide a wide spectrum of opportunities for students of all ages and backgrounds in our community."

If you want your kid to have a positive experience and an opportunity to grow as a string musician, you can call the number (601) 408-0755 for more information.
