William Carey University Gets A Street Named After Them

Hattiesburg, Miss. - Those who near William Carey University may notice a small to change to one of the area's main thoroughfares soon.

Hattiesburg City Council voted unanimously yesterday in favor to rename Helveston Road as William Carey Parkway.

Council President Kim Bradley said university officials believe the new street name would make it easier to get from Highway 49 to campus.
