HPD celebrates Christmas early with the kids

HATTIESBURG, Miss - The Hattiesburg Police Department passed out toys to kids a few days before Christmas.

HPD went out to local apartment complexes to hand out toys to the community. The Police Department had extra left over toys from the Stuff-A-Truck event with Ryan Motors.

Detective LaTosha Myers-Mitchell says, "It felt really good to be able to come and do something positive instead of coming in and serving warrants looking for people. We are just out here to show you we love you. It was just good for us to be able to make contact with the kids."

Over 100 toys were given out to the kids.
