Hattiesburg trolley offers free rides for New Years Eve

HATTIESURG, Miss - The Hattiesburg Trolley wants Pine belt residents be safe during their New Years Eve celebration.

Twelve local businesses is sponsoring the trolley and will operate two buses from middowntown, the Avenues, and downtown where most of the Hattiesburg hotspots are located.

The trolley will operate tomorrow from 8 PM to 2:30 AM.

StateRepresentative Toby Barker says, "Well Hattiesburg is a college town and this is something we should have. This is the next step while enjoying the quality of life safely. New Years Eve is a great step to start and since then we have done it on other nights throughout the year too. Hopefully we will make this something more frequent."

The Hattiesburg Trolley has been operating during New Years Eve for the past three years.
