All roads near USM's sinkhole reopens

Hattiesburg, Miss. - USM officials are continuing to assess the impact of the sinkhole that appeared Tuesday morning on the campus.

Hattiesburg engineers have evaluated the damage and determined that the cavity does not extend beyond the parking lot between McCarty Hall and Scianna Hall.

All roads near the sinkhole have reopened.

The residents of McCarty Hall will have to park in the Hillcrest Hall lot for the start of the Spring semester.
