A Wayne County pastor accused of sexually abusing minors waives his preliminary hearing Wednesday in an Alabama court.

Tommy Joe Newberry was arrested on December 22 in Alabama.

Newberry was released on a $36,000 bond.

Officials said Newberry admitted to sexually abusing six boys in his congregation between the ages of 11 and 15.

Washington County Sheriff, Richard Stringer, said Newberry's case will be presented to a Grand Jury next month.
