USM'S Spring 2016 Gifted Studies Program

Hattiesburg, Miss. - Southern Miss’s College of Business has partnered up with the Frances Karnes Center for Gifted Studies.

The College of Business is providing facilities in its building at Scianna Hall for the Gifted Studies Program’s Spring semester classes.

Karnes Center Director, Pola Jakacki said, "We have over 80 students coming and we have eight different classes and great experienced teachers who are instructors. So we're very excited for this Spring 2016 program. All of the teachers and administrators will be using iPods and iPads and have all the student information and everything will be done on the iPod."

The Spring 2016 Gifted Studies Program will offer an animals of the jungle class, an astronomy class, two different computer coding classes, seven wonders of the modern world class, a botany class, and a diseases-medicine in human bodies class.
