Southern Miss's key signs
Hattiesburg, Miss. - National Signing Day happened Wednesday and Southern Miss signed 17 players for their upcoming 2016 season.
Ten of the 17 players that signed with Southern miss are from Mississippi.
Head coach, Jay Hopson said, "Keon was certainly a big addition in our signing class. We're thrilled and excited about him. Demarrio Smith, another young man from Canton, Mississippi, who I consider a true Southern Miss guy. I just think he's going to be an outstanding football player down here in Hattiesburg. I'm excited about the class, top to bottom. I don't know who's going to be a star immediately, who's going to red shirt, who's going to play. I think that's up to each individual player. They got to come in and show what they got. But it's certainly a class that we think is going to be outstanding."
