Lamar home destroyed by fire Sunday night

LAMARY COUNTY, Miss - A Lamar county home on Cambrooke St. at the Brent Creek subdivision was destroyed Sunday evening.

Fire officials are working on the case to determine the origin of the fire.

The homeowner mentioned him and his family were away from their house for the Super Bowl and no injuries have been reported.

Fire officials told the homeowner that the fire may have started in the attic, but a formal investigation is still pending.
