Purvis announces new alderman

PURVIS, Miss - Wendell Hudson of Purvis won the Purvis alderman at-large on Tuesday.

According to the Purvis City Clerk, "Hudson had a total of 133 votes."

His opponents Deboral Ferrel and Forrest Toland finished at 78 and 48 votes.

The previous alderman seat was left open by Martin Hankins. Hankins was elected in November as the new Lamar County Circuit Clerk.
