2nd Annual Habitat for Humanity charity football game

Hattiesburg, Miss. - The Hattiesburg Police Department and the Hattiesburg Fire Department are about to square off Saturday at Hattiesburg High's football stadium.

The football game is a charity game for the Habitat for Humanity.

Last year, the Hattiesburg Police Department annihilated the Hattiesburg Fire Department, 26-10,and HPD is looking forward to a repeat on Saturday.

Hattiesburg Police Officer, Lt. Jon Traxler said, "Habitat for Humanity came to us and said 'hey we want to try and do something for the community and try to raise money for our organization, would you be willing to work with us and help us out?' And us and the fire department, because of our camaraderie between us and the fire department and knowing that the benefit is going to go to a good cause, again we're giving back to our community. And at the end of the day, both us and the fire department, that's what our job is. Is here to serve our community and if we can serve our community by doing this friendly game and having a good time out here, while raising money to help them, we're all about it."

The game between HPD and HFD will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
