USM's first baseball series of the season

Hattiesburg, Miss. - In case you haven't heard…Southern Miss baseball is back!

The Golden Eagles played Eastern Illinois over the weekend and Golden Eagle fans are happy of how their team played.

The Golden Eagles won all three of their games.

But the one game that stood out the most, was Saturday's game.

Southern Miss absolutely annihilated Eastern Illinois, 18-1.

The Golden Eagles are back in action Tuesday at The Pete, as they take on ULM.
