Ellisville, Miss. - The JCJC softball team has been dominating lately, and a big reason for that success is because of Oak Grove's very own, Kalyn Watts.

Last week, the centerfielder was 10-of-17 from the plate. Watts also had a home run, 5 RBI’s, and scored eight runs.

For her tremendous play, she was named MACJC’s Player of the Week.

Centerfielder, Kalyn Watts said, "I mean it was pretty exciting for me. I'm glad to be out of my little slump. But I hope to continue to stay where I am as of right now. Last week was pretty good. It wasn't much tough competition, but I think it will get us ready for tomorrow's game, which will be pretty tough. But I think we can take them."

The ladies will travel to Decatur Wednesday to face East Central.
