The Children's Center Classic raises $35,000 in funds
Hattiesburg, Miss. - USM’s Children's Center held its second annual 10-K, 5-K, one-mile fun run classic on Saturday.
This is the Center's main fundraiser and it did not disappoint.
Children’s Center director, Sarah Case-Price said, "It was a great atmosphere. It was very upbeat and energetic. The Junior Auxiliary of Hattiesburg had their Carnival for the first year with us. There was a ton of kids. We had a lot of our Children Center families to come out on race day. Some parents participated in the race. Some of our families were at the Center as runners ran passed, cheering our runners along. And again, they were at the finish line to help us hand out our medals."
More than 340 runners took part, raising $35,000.
The Children's Center is strictly supported by fundraising.
