Flood damage has forced some Forrest County residents out of their homes

Forrest County, Miss. - Heavy rain has hit Forrest County and have forced some families out of their homes.
Glen Moore, Forrest County Emergency Management district director said, "We had over eight inches of rain since 8 o'clock yesterday that's lead to extensive flooding throughout the county, particularly in the northern end of the county is probably the hardest hit. We had 11 homes that's had water go inside these residents. We've had two bridges washed out, numerous roads closed. The City of Petal has experienced flooding as well. About 20 homes had to be evacuated due to a creek."
Moore said the shelter will be available to anyone who may need it until the flooding has completely stopped.
