Seminary, Miss. - Seminary Police conducted a traffic stop over the weekend which led to a major discovery.
Michael Kelly, Seminary Police Chief said, "Our officers pulled over a female who was in possession of marijuana and spice and after searching through the vehicle, we found some lollipops we felt was very interesting. They were in the same container as the marijuana and the spice was. We started asking some questions what this was and she told us that it was THC lollipops."
With this arrest, Kelly wants to make sure that the community can become more aware of all the different types of marijuana products.
Kelly said "because it's new for the community, we think it’s in best interest of the public to know that it's out there. That's why we wanted the public to see that picture and especially for parents to know that this is something marketed for their children and their children would be very attracted to this. We want to keep this sort of controlled substance out of the hands of a kid."
Police said that "THC has various psychological and physiological effects on the human body. And in large enough doses, THC can induce auditory and visual hallucinations."
