AIDS service coalition opens new location

HATTIESBURG, Miss - The local AIDS service coalition has a new space that serves as a multi-purpose center for people who have already been diagnosed with HIV and are at high risk.

Executive Director Kathy Garner said, "This space allows us to provide those services in a better setting."

The new location will allow for better services for the community and allows more room for administration to see more clients at one time.

"It also provides us a more confidential setting, and I think it allows us the opportunity to look even broader at the gaps that are being acknowledged by people who HIV positive and at high risk, including the people who are homeless in our community."

The new building is located at 103 Broad Street.
