JCSD make a huge drug bust

Jones County, Miss. - The Jones County Sheriff's Department's Narcotics Division made multiple felony arrests over the last few days.

The Narcotics Division seized drugs such as marijuana, heroin, ecstasy, and methamphetamine.

Deputies said on March 27, Rashad L. Clayton, 37 of Laurel, was charged with possession of ecstasy.

The day before that, deputies arrested Kayla R. Smith-Lovett, 20 of Laurel, for having possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

On March 25, deputies arrested Solomon S. Page, 42 of Laurel, and Olivia Pate, 20 of Birmingham, Ala. Page was arrested for having possession of marijuana, cocaine, crack, methamphetamine, and heroin. Pate was charged with possession of heroin with intent and introducing contraband into a correctional facility.

J. Cory Holloway, 34 of Laurel, was arrested on March 24 for having possession of and selling methamphetamine.

On March 17, deputies arrested Randall Wood, 37 of Ellisville, and Joseph D. Dearman, 63 of Laurel. Wood was arrested for selling methamphetamine and Dearman was arrested for selling prescription pills.
