USM hosted National History Day for selected students

Hattiesburg, Miss. - Southern Miss recently welcomed a various amount of students across the state for National History Day at its Hattiesburg campus.

This event was filled with about 120 students from grades 4-12 who qualified from their local schools.

USM history professors judged the students' work.

Prizes were awarded in the junior and senior categories as well as an overall prize for school excellence.
