HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss is honoring National Victim's week and Sexual Assault month by decorating t-shirts. The Clothesline Project is a visual display that bears witness to the violence against women.
The campus has a public display all week. A clothesline is hung with t-shirts and each shirt is decorated to represent a particular woman's experience.

USM Therapist, Michelle Howard said, "The reason why we are trying to put this project out is because this is a national project that is trying to educate and also promote awareness and give survivors support."
The organization said that every minute of every day more than one woman is sexually assaulted in America.
