“Impressions of Life”

Hattiesburg, Miss. - This month is "National Donate Life" month and the Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency will be having one of its annual events to celebrate the month.

Trisha King, Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency community outreach coordinator said, "Tomorrow we're holding the fourth annual 'Impressions of Life' event, which is where we have donor families, living donors, and recipients come and paint to honor in celebration of those who gave the gift of life.”

King said “it was implemented to become a unique opportunity for our donor families, and our living donors, and transplant recipients to be away from the regular events and just have a private moment to be able to paint and be artistic in memory of their loved ones."

King said this is the first time they are doing this event at three different locations on the same date and same time.

“Impressions of Life” will be in Hattiesburg, Richland, and Tupelo on Saturday.

Also, there will be an open house and ribbon cutting for the public on April 20 at its Hattiesburg office for people to see the paintings.
