HFD will install smoke detectors in one local community
Hattiesburg, Miss. - The Hattiesburg Fire Department has teamed up with the Red Cross for the last four years to help out people throughout the community.
This Saturday, they'll be back at it again.
Hattiesburg Fire Chief, Paul Presley said, "We're going to install smoke detectors for the people in the Arledge Street community and we're going to try and do at least 100 of them. What we've been trying to do is install and give them to the people that are mostly senior citizens and people that are disabled."
Presley said they will go to people's homes to install smoke detectors between 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
If you are interested in having smoke detectors installed in your home, call the Hattiesburg Fire Department.
