National Superhero Day

Hattiesburg, Miss. - The new Captain America movie is coming out soon, which leaves various people pondering about which side to root for.

However, Thursday is National Superhero Day and differences have been laid aside for this day.

Bombshell Comics owner, Justin Adcock said, "Comic Books have kind of taken over pop culture. They really are influencing a lot larger percentage of the population than ever before. A lot of it has to do with the films.”

“The comic book industry as a whole is really expanding and growing, especially creatively. It's kind of a Renaissance era for the comic industry. A lot more talented and vibrant creators. The female audience has expanded dramatically over the past several years, for that reason we're seeing an upswing of business popularity. It's just a really wonderful time to be a nerd, said Adcock."
