National Free Comic Book Day
Hattiesburg, Miss. - National Free Comic Book Day is on Saturday and one local comic book store has been taking part in this day ever since it opened back in 2001.
Bombshell Comics Owner, Justin Adcock said, “Free Comic Book Day is an occasion to not only create new readers, but also to show appreciation to the people that keep the doors in year-in and year-out. This year we’re giving out over 10,000 free comics, which is about what we give out every year. We try to up it a little bit each year.”
“Yeah, this store alone. I actually got eight big boxes back there that’s half of it and the rest of them are in another room. So yeah we got a lot of boxes in right now. I love comics and I love to be able to give these comics away and be able to show people that there’s still a lot of magic in those pages, said Adcock.”
Adcock said the day will begin with an outside tent sale from 9:30-11 a.m. and then from 11-7 p.m., the store will have its inside sale.
