Hattiesburg, Miss. - The retrial of the death of a former Southern Miss women's basketball player began Tuesday.
In December of 2011, Ebony Jenkins, 27, was shot in the back.
Jairus Collins was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Jenkins.
But last summer, Mississippi Supreme Court overturned his conviction due to the lack of a legitimate process.
